Make Somebody Happy

Verse 1 As you travel day by day,
On the holy, heav’nly way,
Keep your courage, do not weary grow;
But with zeal perform your part,
Always with a merry heart,
Try to make somebody happy as you go.

Verse 2 There are souls, thro’ grief and care,
Languishing in dark despair,
As they sadly wander to and fro:
By a sunny smile of cheer,
Brighten lives that now are drear,
Try to make somebody happy as you go.

Verse 3 There is much that you can do
As your journey you pursue,
Thro’ this dreary world of sin and woe;
By some kindly word or deed,
Succor those you find in need,
Try to make somebody happy as you go.
