No Fear of Death When Prepared

Verse 1 Death holds no terrors for those who are ready,
Who have prepared for that day;
Sweetly they welcome the King of all terrors,
Bearing them over the way.

Verse 2 Soon we shall journey across the dark river,
Others have journeyed before;
Terrors and sorrows will vanish forever,
When the long journey is o'er.

Verse 3 May we be ready when death calls us homeward,
To the eternal bright shore;
Knowing that yonder in heaven with Jesus,
We shall dwell ev ermore.

Refrain Christ on the other side,
Calling us over the tide,
Bidding us welcome to mansion's eternal,
Who in the soul abide.
